Terms and Conditions

The rules for using AAIM Learning, including learner accounts, BOB, monthly pay-as-you-go access and educational responsibilities.

Clear, fair terms for parents and learners.

Last updated: 18 August 2026

These Terms should be read together with the AAIM Learning Privacy Policy, Children's Privacy Notice and safeguarding information.

About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of AAIM Learning, including its website, learning platform, lessons, assessments, reports, parent and learner accounts, and the AI-powered learning assistant known as BOB.

AAIM Learning is a supplementary educational platform. It supports learning but does not replace a school, teacher, tutor, parent, guardian, examination board or other qualified professional.

By creating or using an account, or by allowing a child to use AAIM Learning, you agree to these Terms. Parents and guardians are responsible for the contractual relationship where they create or manage access for a child.

Accounts and child access

Parents and guardians must provide accurate information and must have appropriate authority to create or manage a learner account for a child.

The Parent Account is intended to remain available even when a learner is not currently receiving paid learning access. A learner account may be active, inactive or temporarily suspended depending on payment status, safety, security or compliance with these Terms.

Stopping payment does not ordinarily close the Parent Account or automatically delete the learner profile. A parent may return later and reactivate learning, subject to the current service terms and applicable data-retention rules.

Educational purpose

AAIM Learning provides educational content, practice, quizzes, assessments, learning recommendations, progress information and reports to help learners develop knowledge, skills and learning habits.

AAIM Learning does not guarantee any particular examination grade, school result, educational improvement, placement, qualification or other academic outcome. Progress depends on many factors outside AAIM Learning's control.

BOB - AI learning assistant

BOB is an AI-powered learning assistant designed to explain, hint, encourage, ask guiding questions, support revision, provide feedback, recommend learning and help learners understand educational material.

Artificial intelligence is not infallible. BOB may misunderstand a question or context and may occasionally provide information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, irrelevant or unsuitable for a particular learner.

BOB is not a human teacher, tutor, counsellor, healthcare professional, safeguarding professional, lawyer or other professional adviser. Important information should be checked with appropriate trusted sources.

Assessments, recommendations and reports

Baseline assessments, quizzes, progress indicators, learning pathways, BOB reviews and reports are designed to support learning. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they are not formal examinations, professional diagnoses or definitive judgements of a learner's intelligence, ability, potential or future performance.

Automated recommendations and reports are based on the information and activity available to the platform at the time and may not reflect every aspect of a learner's educational needs.

Parent and guardian responsibilities

Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising their child's use of AAIM Learning, deciding how educational guidance should be used, encouraging honest participation and seeking help from a school, teacher or other qualified professional where appropriate.

These responsibilities do not remove any responsibility that applicable law requires AAIM Learning itself to bear.

Learner responsibilities

Learners should use AAIM Learning honestly and responsibly, make a reasonable effort to complete their own learning, follow applicable school or examination rules and avoid deliberately manipulating assessments or platform records.

Learners should not assume that information is correct merely because BOB generated it and should ask a trusted adult or teacher when uncertain.

Pay-as-you-go monthly service

AAIM Learning operates as a monthly pay-as-you-go educational service. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, there is no fixed annual commitment and no recurring card payment taken by AAIM Learning.

Payment is accepted by bank transfer or standing order. Where a customer uses a standing order, the instruction is created and controlled by the customer through their own bank.

Payment processing and late payment

Payments may take up to 24 hours to be received, identified, processed and applied to the relevant learner account. Parents and guardians should arrange payment sufficiently in advance of the payment due date to help avoid interruption to learning access.

If payment is late, missing, cannot be matched to the correct account, or is still awaiting processing, the relevant learner's paid learning access may be temporarily suspended. The Parent Account will ordinarily remain available.

Where learning access has been suspended for payment reasons, it may be restored after the required payment has been received, identified and processed. Customers should allow up to 24 hours for this process.

Stopping and returning to the service

A customer may stop future monthly payments when they no longer wish to continue. Customers using a standing order are responsible for cancelling that instruction with their bank.

Stopping future payments does not ordinarily remove access to a period that has already been paid for. When paid access ends, the learner may become inactive rather than being deleted.

Parents may return to AAIM Learning later, make the applicable payment and request reactivation of the learner's paid access. Retention of historical learning information is governed by the Privacy Policy, Children's Privacy Notice and applicable law.

Failed, duplicate or mistaken payments

If a payment cannot be matched, is duplicated or appears to have been made in error, the customer should contact AAIM Learning. AAIM Learning will investigate and provide any refund or other remedy required by law or otherwise reasonably due.

Nothing in these Terms restricts statutory consumer rights.

Acceptable use and security

Users must not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with the platform, introduce malicious code, bypass access or safety controls, scrape substantial content without permission, impersonate another person, misuse another account, manipulate learning records or use AAIM Learning for unlawful or seriously harmful purposes.

Appropriate use of BOB

Users must not deliberately attempt to use BOB to facilitate unlawful activity, serious harm, harassment, threats, unauthorised access, or to bypass safety controls.

Rules will be applied to children in an age-appropriate way. An innocent mistake or misunderstanding should not automatically be treated in the same way as deliberate and repeated misuse.

Safeguarding and wellbeing

AAIM Learning is an educational service and is not an emergency, medical, counselling or safeguarding service. BOB should not replace a parent, teacher, designated safeguarding lead, healthcare professional or other appropriately qualified person.

AAIM Learning may take reasonable and lawful action if it becomes aware of information indicating a serious safety or safeguarding concern, but it does not guarantee that BOB or the platform will identify every concern or harmful communication.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, AAIM Learning and its licensors own or have the right to use the intellectual-property rights in the platform, software, branding, educational materials, questions, reports, interfaces and other AAIM-created content.

Authorised users receive a limited right to use relevant content for permitted personal educational purposes. Parents may reasonably share learner reports with the learner's teacher or school for educational support.

Privacy and personal information

Personal information, including information relating to children, is handled in accordance with the AAIM Learning Privacy Policy and Children's Privacy Notice and applicable data-protection law.

Learners should avoid entering unnecessary personal information into BOB, including passwords, payment information, home addresses, telephone numbers or private information about another person.

Third-party services and availability

AAIM Learning may rely on third-party providers for hosting, email, artificial intelligence, security and other infrastructure. The platform may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical failures, security work, third-party failures or events outside AAIM Learning's reasonable control.

AAIM Learning will take reasonable steps to restore services following problems within its control but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Suspension for misuse or safety reasons

AAIM Learning may restrict or suspend an account or feature where it reasonably believes this is necessary because of serious or repeated breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, unauthorised access, security threats, serious misuse, safeguarding concerns, unlawful activity or a legal requirement.

Payment suspension is different from account closure. Non-payment will ordinarily affect the relevant learner's paid access rather than closing the Parent Account.

Limitation of educational responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, AAIM Learning will not be responsible for loss or damage arising solely because a user treated a BOB response, automated recommendation, assessment interpretation, score, report, learning pathway or other automatically generated educational information as authoritative professional advice or a guaranteed statement of fact.

AAIM Learning does not guarantee that BOB or automatically generated educational content will always be accurate, complete or error-free and does not guarantee any particular educational outcome.

Liability that cannot be excluded

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where it cannot lawfully be excluded, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit AAIM Learning to exclude or limit.

Changes, complaints and contact

AAIM Learning may update the platform or these Terms where reasonably necessary for educational quality, safety, security, legal compliance, technology or service development. Appropriate notice will be provided where required by law or where a material change significantly affects users.

Questions or complaints about these Terms or the service can be sent to support@aaimlearning.com.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply where a user lives. Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from relying on rights or jurisdiction protections that applicable law gives them.
